CPLEA received funding from the Alberta Human Rights Education and Multiculturalism Fund to undertake research to clarify the need for accessible legal information for multicultural groups in Alberta. The project looked at the information needs related to specific areas of civil law as identified in the Alberta Human Rights Act. Immigrants’ information-seeking behaviours, including when and how information is accessed, were investigated and recommendations on appropriate formats and sources provided in the Law for Alberta’s Multicultural Communities-Research Report 2013.
