This tipsheet also provides information on when EI benefits may to available to people in a number of different situations besides job loss, such as: Maternal and Parental leave benefits, Sickness, injury or quarantine benefits, Compassionate care benefits, Benefits for Parents of Critically Ill Children, and Self-employed Fishers benefits.
